Food Review

LC: Well, we finished eatin the "good stuff" available at PetsMart an PetCo. The Big Thing hunted "Blue Spa Select", "Avoderm", and "IAMS" there.

First, I gonna hafta admit that I am gettin fussier about tastes and not eatin as much as I used to. Ayla is a happy eater, and Iza will eat sawdust iffen ya pour chicken fat onit! An sometimes we will walk away at first, but come back an eat it all up later. So this is just some general opinions...

BLUE SPA SELECT - "Savory Seafood Stew" - Iza and Ayla loved it. I ate some. "Turkey and Chicken" - Iza and Ayla loved it. I ate some, but I went back and finished my bowl later. "Savory Salmon" - We all loved it! "Tuna Grill" - Only Iza loved that. Ayla and I came back later ta eat some more of it, but Iza licked the bowls clean after that.

AVODERM - "Ocean Fish" - 3 Paws up! We all loved it and left no scraps behind. "Chicken" - I dint like it all THAT much, but it was mostly meat so I went back and ate more. Iza and Ayle ate it right up.

IAMS - Im gonna say right off that we all ate it eagerly (well, I dint like the Turkey an Giblets so much, but we all liked the "Salmon", "Chicken", "Oceanfish". And Iza an Ayla liked the Turkey an Giblets. So the IAMS was popular. But it has "by-products" in it an we wanna eat "healthy".

So we are turnin our attention ta the new "better" healthy stuff The Big Thing hunted at Holistic Pet Warehouse an will see iffen we like those.

7 cans, 1 week of dinners. We expect to report on those next Thursday...

But, why doesnt anny company offer canned mousies? We KNOW we would all love THAT!

We've tried Blue Spa, California Natural, Wellness and Evo. They are all great foods and most of us liked them pretty well! It's hard to get 6 cats to agree on one food, especially a healthy food.

You are lucky to have a Holistic Pet Warehouse in your area, our mom would love that!

How fun to try all the foods. Right now we are trying out Cecilia and Madison on Merrick dry catfood, called Before Grain. They seem to like and and are doing well on it. If that continues to do well, mom and dad are thinking of letting the rest of us try it. With 8 of us, feeing time can get complicated.

We liked the Wellness brand in the packets the best! We were not fond of anything else right now... sigh.

We thinks it has something to do with the beans aversion to eating mousies. But it would be a big hit here too.

We thinks prehaps you shouldn't eat live mice in front of your beans Mommy is still having nightmares about Socks dining on the mousie in the Butterfly Garden. Socks made the tactical error of eating him tail first. ~S,S,C & F

We just discovered a live mousie outside but it escaped. Ahhh, days and days of hunting fun ahead. It's a shame that your food review isn't of practical use for us here in Germany. We can't get the delicious stuff you're talking about. Pouting...

Yeah, I'm with you on the canned mousies, LC. A big part of the reason that kitties and humans started hanging out together in the first place is that humans store food, which attracts mousies (and rats and other such), so the kitties show up to hunt and eat the mousies, the humans notice that when the kitties are around, the mousies don't eat the stored human food, so humans like having kitties around. So given all that, why isn't there cat food made of mousies? Doesn't make any sense to me.
