Garden Thursday

IZA:  Welcome to another Garden Thursday Tour!  Today, I will show the garden failures...  Its not pretty, but it gotta be done sometimes...  Come along an I'll show ya the sad spots this time...

This was the kohlrabi spot.  2 little weak plants that never grew...
An the beets!  TBT grown beets fine fer years.  Not this year.  Theyre just SITTIN there...
The chinese cabbage was a flop this year too.  No leafs and then bolted to flower early!
Parsnips.  Ya see any?  I don't...
Carrots were nearly "no-shows".  There is one strugglin at the lower left corner.  See it?  Way down low and left.  Fuzzy top.
These poor flats of seeds were left to die by TBT.  Shame shame!   It happens, but he cheated these poor seedlings out of their chance to bloom wunnerfly.

I bug him and bug him, but I cant get him ta do everything he should...

Well, we know that this year has been hard on a lot of gardens because of all the stupid hots and not enough rains, or too many rains. So you can't totally blame TBT! But those poor little seedlings that didn't even get planted - well, we can't even think of an excuse for those! But then again our mom doesn't even plant stuff anymore so she isn't really any better - she just doesn't try! At least TBT tries.

There's no shame in showing a failure! It seems like all the root veggies failed. Must be the strange weather this year.

Iza, thanks for the edifying tour.

pee ess: did TBT ever conquer the poison ivy?

At least he planted them for a start. My mom doesn't do live plants.

The intense heat has made it difficult for some things to grow and Iza, we're sorry some plants didn't make it to fruition...But we know TBT has been working very hard in your garden and we look forward to next week's post and seeing all the wonderful parts of your garden that are thriving under his care and your snoopervision...kitty kisses sweet friends...Calle, Halle, Sukki

We fink it's very brave to show hawty-cultural failures ~ 'cos it it makes ovver people realise that not all gardeners are perfect all the time ~ and even the best fail sumtimes. So it's sort of inspirational!

Yup, that looks like not enough water in those flats. MY mom had a few potted plants that way.

Thank you for coming to my party, it was so much fun!

We have had a lot of garden failures too, so don't feel bad. And we know all about having to nag the beans to do the stuff they should. Our Mommy is doing a happy dance cause it is raining so she will not have to water today.

Your tour made us laugh, Iza, because if the Human had a yard (thank Ceiling Cat we don't!) this is exactly what the whole place would look like! Ha ha ha ha ha!
