Private Bookcase Retreat

AYLA:  Sometimes when Iza gets too playful, I need a place ta get away from her an relax.  The bookcase is one of the best places fer that.  Plus, TBT had saved a couple noospaper articles about cats, an I wanned ta read them.

So I got in the place they were stashed an looked through what was there...

Ah, here it is!  Hmmm, yeah, thats innerestin.  I read the whole thing.  It was about kitties like me who are spayed but still go inta heat...

Well, Im done.  Might as well leave...

UPDATE:  We haf some sad news ta report.  The Big Thing's Mom died today.  He says we shouldn't be too concerned about it, but he wrote about it HERE.  We only met her a few times cuz she lived far away.  But she was a good cat person and she was nice ta us, so we are sad too.

The good news is that she is probly cuddling her long-lost friends, Kittigree, Kenani, and Hai U Phin right now and feelin better after all the painful times of the past few years...

Hi Ayla! Wow that looks like a great place to hang out - Gus and Stella like to sleep in our mom's office bookcase too (well, they did til Lola moved in there - now they can't go in there anymore). We think that sounds like an interesting article, we bet you learned a lot!

Oh, and mom noticed that TBT has a bunch of the same books she does (Sneakier uses for everyday things, The Physics of Star Trek) and also noticed that TBT has Flatland - she said to ask if he has read Flatterland - she liked Flatland but didn't get into Flatterland as much. If he hasn't and wants to tell him to email her and she will send him her copy (it is in her pile of books she is going to be either getting rid of or putting in storage). We don't know about the books but we do know they are good for napping behind!

All our bookcases are crammed full of books, no room for us plus sized cats on them! Mom tries to weed them out now & then, but has trouble parting with them.

You always need a place to hang where the other cats can't get you!

Awesome hangout, and it's educational, too!

Ayla, you are one smart girl! Did you learn anything fun? Probably not, if the articles were written my people. Everyone knows they should be written by cats!

Ayla, you've got a great napping spot behind the books; we bet Iza doesn't even realize you are there!...Enjoy the evening, sweet girl...xoxo...Calle, Halle, Sukki

I'm not sure, can you get in trouble for being a bookie?

Oh, girls, you will have to be extra extra nice to TBT. No matter how old we get, it's always hard to lose our moms. My Human was in her very early thirties when she losted her mom and even 27 years later, she still thinks about her all the time. My Human read what TBT wrote about his mom and it was so refreshing to read such a happy and loving tribute!

It has really been a bad time for TBT. I hope you girls and his dad and other siblings can all comfort each other.
