Garden Thursday

IZA:  Well, Im glad it is nice weather this week.  The serious rain last week was welcome but it coulda waited one day!  But I got some nice stuff ta show off today.  Please come along an join me as we walk around...

Ya may remember the Sedums looked like this 2 weeks ago.  Light pink an pretty...

Well, note they are gettin darker red.  Its not the lighting.  And they will get darker red by next week...

Heres a close-up...

This is one of the 2 the goldenrod patches.  They are looking happy...

The Salvia still look great after months of bloom.  They will DEFINITELY be back next year, but in different places.  I think several separate patches of them farther back (cuz of their height)...

The asters are still bloomin well after a few weeks.  And thats good for them cuz they are perennials!   They are kinna floppy though, so I have advised TBT ta give them some support next year...

I saw a hummerbird earlier today, which surprised me.  It got cold last night, so TBT said they were probably left by now.  He was glad I pointed one out ta him.  That means he will keep their feeders up another week "just in case".  Sorry there wasn't one around durin the tour...

Well, that's the good stuff this week.  As usual, there are snacks an Niptinis up on the deck.  And I am pleased ta announce that TBT has poached a chick-hen breast and diced it up just fer us.  No nasty spices or salt or nothin just chick-hen.  And fresh rainwater of course..

Wow, how nice to have so many flowers. My mom found an Indian paintbrush in the front when she was trying to get rid of weeds, but that's the only flower we have. (She left it there.)

Iza, thanks for the great tour of your lovely garden with all the cheerful, colorful blooms; it's obvious TBT has put a lot of hard work into making your yard beautiful...We hope you and Ayla have a fun evening chasing mousies!...kisses, sweet girls...Calle, Halle, Sukki

Do you ever nom the flowers? I am an indoor kitteh but when anybody brings flowers, the Human has to put them waaaaaay up high where I can reach them because usually I eat them all up if I can get to them. That garden looks like one giant buffet to me!

Our neighbor has that kind of sedum in her garden. It's always full of bees this time of year.
All the flowers still look so nice with their fall blooms!
Thanks for the niptinis & chick-hen!
It's great to chill on your deck!

(pee ess: Tell TBT poaching is an illegal activity and he better not brag about it too loudly or he'll end up in the slammer.)
