Garden Thursday

IZA:  Well, its RAININ again today!  OK, the sun is jus comin out, but the grass is long an it is WAY too wet ta go walkin aroun out there.  So, no outside tour this week.

Ah, but INSIDE, I got some stuff ta show!  Stuff that will be put outside during the next week...

First, I have crocus an daffodil bulbs that arrived yesserday.
There are 150 solid yellow crocuses (and 150 solid purple crocuses to be delivered).  Those are going in the border along the flowerbed.  There are 100 Monal daffodils that will be bright yellow with orange centers, and there are 100 Fragrant Rose daffodils that will be white with orange centers.  It will be neat cause one flowers early Spring and the other flowers late Spring.  So the color will change as the Spring goes by...

Fortunately, those will be going out front, so I dont hafta snoopervize THAT operation.  I WILL watch from the front windersill, though.

Then these Mums showed up a couple days ago.  The Big Thing was sposed ta plant them yesserday before the rain came, but he didnt!  I try an try, but sometimes they jus gotta learn what happens when they put stuff off...
They are 3 yellow Mums an 3 orange Mums.  Im not sure ezactly where he is gonna put them.  But thats his problem.  I jus try ta make sure he does the plantin right.

I wish I couldda shown ya the outside flowers, but we'll hope the weather is better fer that next week!

But lets go upstairs fer a bit.  Ayla has been preparin the after-tour snacks.  She says there is Nip, real chick-hen, an Nip-flavored water or chick-hen juice ta drink.

Wow that is a lot of planting that TBT will be doing! It sounds like it is going to turn out really pretty though - we think the yellow and purple will look good together! And boy, it will be fun to have a lot of flowers all spring! And those mums - well we would have had to do some chompin' on them so we are impressed you didn't. We hope the weather clears up so he can get the plants out where they need to be!

And oh, those snacks sound so tasty!

Wow! TBT sure has his work cut out for him...we can't wait for spring to see the results of all the planting. Mommy loves mums, they blossom for a long time and they're so cheery.

Now...we are ready for some refreshments!

Your human is quite ambitious! Keep on him, Iza, because once he gets the planting done, there will be lots of pretty things growing for months to come!

Good gracious, that's a lot of bulbs. And a whole lot of planting! I'm sure it'll make for some great Thursday in the Garden posts when everything sprouts, though.

Geez, my Human can barely keep a houseplant alive!

So, Iza, you liked my song, eh? Well, I'll be playing here all week--come back tomorrow! I'll still be singing.
And Ayla! You leave Iza alone! I like a ladycat who knows what she likes ;-)

But you gotta tell me: What's the CC?

TBT stays busy in your lovely yard; you guys are going to have some beautiful flowers again in the Spring...You gorgeous girls are being very good not to chew on the pretty flowers, but maybe you could give him some extra cuddles for all his hard work?...We're headed upstairs for the snacks!...kisses, sweet friends...Calle, Halle, Sukki

Oh geez, Pawsmacky to forehead! Of course I know what CC is, d'oh!

The Human learned the hard way about "Reply All" though ;-)

Oh girls, don't hide! Or at least demand a treat that TBT actually has in the house, MOL!

Wow! That IS going to be a powerful lot of hole digging to plant all those. And a lot of snoopervising for you two.

The Big Thing is really going to be doing some diggin' this weekend! Maybe he has one of those spiffy bulb planting tools so he doesn't have to do it the old fashioned way. But the old fashioned way is good exercise so they both have their advantages.
Good job snoopervising Iza! And thanks for the snacks!

Sorry we are late stopping by those snacks sound pawsome.

The yellow mums are lovely. Could you send us some of the rain. WE are having a drought here. Gosh TBT has a lot of bulbs to plant, but they sure will be pretty this spring.
