Ew, he's creepy looking! But if he eats fishie food he can't be all bad.......we LOVE fishie food (when we can sneak a bit).

Wow you have a pet fishie!! our mom says we might get some later. but shes allways had bad luck.. I think it had something to do with her kitty that came before "Tiger" scareing them all to death. he was a big boy. Since he is soo old how long does that kind live? we know they are good tank cleaners.. but thats all we know.

hmmm, i can't decide if he looks tasty or creepy. i'd probably watch him for hours given the chance.

i think your Big Thing needs to get you another house! that is a cool spot for a kitty. if i had one, i wouldn't let that stinky boy in it at all!

Hi Ayla! Hi Iza! We miss visiting you - we wish today you were in the pictures, but we do think the fish is pretty cool. We used to be friends with a girl who had a big one of those fish too that started little. Mom has one but it never got big. We hope you will be back as yourselves tomorrow so we can see you!!

Are we right in saying that's a Plecostemis (with bad spelling).
Mom & dad had fishies before us, but couldn't really keep them warm enough. Mr Catfish outlived the fish by about a year. He was a cool dude.

Mr Puddy - Catch one if you can...

Casbah Kitten - We've never tasted fishy food, but will ask ta try some!

Milo and Alfie, and the Meezers and Billy - He IS scarey lookin. Very prehistorical!

S, C, and A - We're not sure how long they live, but we read about one inna pond that is 20 years old an 2' long!

Mr Hendrix - They got sharp fin spines. No good fer eatin.

Amy and Cats - Tomorrow's post is all just pictures of US!

S, S, and S - Yeah, he is Hypostomus Plecostomus. Pleco meaning "folded" and stomus meaning "mouth". Or so TBT says. Pee Ess, there are heaters for fishie tanks. Ours gots one ta keep it at 78 degrees. Check Walmart or PetsMart.

Brian - It pees in the tank like all the other fishies. Can ya belieef they swim in their pee-y water? They poop init too! That's why TBT has ta keep changin it. Weerdly, the house plants like the pee-y water...

Seriously, you eat this guy and all you get is spines and bones. He's the kind of fish sharks spit out.

We read an account where one was found by the cat's food bowl one morning. Missing a tail and the webbing between some fins, clawed an bitten, it was tossed back in the fish tank and is surviving just fine.

The cats never bother it anymore... ;)

Saw your comment on the last post.
We had a tank heater. Actually we had fishes for quite a few years, but the heater seemed intermittent at best. It was an old model, this was from the early 80's they are probably much improved these days. Mom has no patience for fish anymore.

Hope your Thanksgiving day was a good one!

My Mum says that she useta have two plecos, their names were Bob and Luther. She thought they were pretty cool fishies, I wish they were still here, but they lived in Alaska at the time and they couldn't move them from there.
