Garden Thursday

IZA:  We finally got some decent rain on Sunday (which made it a REALLY good day fer eating and nappin inside), and as a result, the giant crocuses popped up all over the place!

Come take a look at some of the individual clusters...

I really like these stripey ones!
The yellow an purple ones look very festive together...
These little early ones are cute too.  This is an old patch, cuz The Big Thing hasnt planted the little ones in years!
And we have a few daffodils blooming finally...
It hasnt fully opened yet, so ya hafta look close...
This is the oldest clump in the yard.  See how crowded they are?  And see how few buds there are?  TBT says he is gonna hafta dig them up this year and spread them out so they can all bloom again...
There are gonna be lots more in the next few weeks.  The daffodils and crocuses he planted last Fall will come up late this first year, but they should be on schedule with all the others next Spring!  Thats both good an bad.  There will be more all at once, but for a shorter period of time.

Thanks for comin along on my garden tour this week!

We LOVE your crocuses, we thinks they are very pretty and wonder if they would grow here. Mommy says it might not get cold enough for them.

Thanks for the info, we may try a few bulbs in the Charybdis Bed. We thinks they probably need a raised bed if they likes to stay dry in the summer as sometimes our yard stays really wet, especially in the spring and fall.

Your crocuses and the few daffodils are SO pretty, it is wonderful that you have them blooming! We don't have any flowers here because we have rock landscaping, but we are waiting for the dogwood trees to bloom come spring time, because they are so pretty too! Enjoy your pretty flowers!
Hugs, purrs and headbutts,

The crocuses look very pretty. Our wild daffodils have nearly finished flowering but the planted ones are just starting.

That was an exciting Garden Tour, Iza! Very pretty!

The Human might have to do another Not-a-Garden-Tour soon if she ever does anything interesting, that is.
