Ayla Home

THE BIG THING:  Well, I brought Ayla back to the vet again this morning.  Its OK!  It was for observation and removing the pressure bandage.  She came home early afternoon, and slept most of the rest of the day.  So did I.

Marley and Iza were concerned by her new absence.  They stayed quiet most of the day just watching and waiting.
Marley watched the inside of the house...
Iza watched outside.
When Ayla got home, I went searching for the inflatable collar to replace the plastic Elizabethan Cone.  I looked everywhere, but couldn't find it, so I went out and bought a new one.   Here is a front view.
And a side view.  It seems FAR more comfortable than the cone.  In fact, the couple of times I glanced in the door while she was sleeping, it seemed to make a rather good pillow!
Iza and Marley came right over to greet her.  Marley has actually been quite friendly while she was in the MewsRoom the past few days.  He stayed near the door many hours and talked to her under it.  Just constant little quiet "merfs" to let her know he was there...  I heard her near the door talking to him on a few occasions, too.
He even gave her some head kissies and friendly sniffs.
Ayla is much more alert and active than yesterday.  Last night she just sat in a corner looking miserable.  Tonight, she was pacing around and happy to get out of the room.

I think I will be able to post about the positive aspects of the various visits tomorrow.  For now though, we are both going to make an early night of it...

Oh man I missed all the excitement... I'm glad she's home and doing ok now. I went and read the last few days posts and I was biting my nonexistent claws with worry and anticipation...

We are so glad to see Ayla up and around. We have been very concerned for her the last couple of days, and seeing her up and about makes our hearts happy. We hope you both get some much deserved rest.

I'm so glad she's home and doing better! Poor little Ayla. It sounds like you are taking great care of her, and that the other kitties are providing excellent moral support. We are sending purrs and prayers.

Oh my, it is SO GOOD to see her up and around. How sweet that Marley is being her nurse ;-)

You all need a good rest. Thanks for keeping us updated on the (thankfully) good news!

It's such a relief to hear that Ayla is finally on the mend! And it's nice to see that Marley and Iza were concerned. Whenever Binga or Boodie come home from the vet, I hate to confess, instead of being concerned, I try to kill them!

Mark - I'm so glad that the worst is now behind you and you can relax a bit and catch up on your sleep.
I hope it's smooth sailing from here on.

That's such good news. Ayla looks good (and the inflatable collar does look better than an E-collar). Have a good rest!

Welcome home Ayla!
If one of mine ever needs a collar I will try to remember this kind.
How sweet of little Marley staying close by and encouraging her through the door like that.
