Mancat Monday

MARLEY:  Ive mentioned that we have been indoor kitties fer several weeks now.  Well, actally Iza is OK outside and I USUALLY am.  Its just that TBT thinks it is too hard on Ayla ta see us go out when she cant.  But Ayla is at the vet today fer observation and tests fer some sort of inflammation.  So we got outside!

I GOT A MOUSIE!  LOOK, LOOK!

I pounced on a spot where I saw some leafs rustlin a bit and there it was!
I had fun lettin it go and catchin it again.
And again.
Iza came over ta see what was happenin an pawed at it too.  I told her it was MY mousie, so she sat back ta let me play with it.  She can get plenty of her own.
I kept bringin it onto the lawn ta keep it away from mousie holes.
 Tap, tap, tap...
After a while, it wasnt playin annymore...
So I ate it!  YUM!!!

Woohoo, a mousie! Well done! The few times we've managed to corner one (or a mole), the mom has come and rescued it from our attentions. She says she wouldn't mind if we just killed it and ate it, but she hates the toying with it.

Our neighbour's declawed cat got a mousie the other morning...The mom opened the door just before 6AM to head to work and there he was, right by our welcome mat, chowing down on his breakfast. He left the entrails for the mom, so nice of him, we thought. The mom must have thought so too, from all the noises she was making.

Wow! What a mighty hunter you are! Ichiro was not being blown--his furs are just like that. We don't have A/C out here as we have no need--especially this year when we haven't had a day over about 78 and are wondering why all you hot states are being so greedy with your sunshine as we're thinking of building an ark..

Marley you are a mighty LION! Well done, sir. And Iza, you done good letting Marley deal with his own catch. We have only eaten birdies, never a mouse...was it good?

So what's up with Ayla? We'll purr that she's OK and home soon.

Yum! Fresh treats are the best! I wish we had mousies that came inside. For some reason, my human does not agree.

Well, we are cats and WE know. It isn’t affection so much as bonding. There’s a difference. Its not the taste, we are so clean we don’t HAVE taste on our furs. It is not a trial run for the jugular either.

Its domimnance. Think “foricible grooming” If you can pin down the other cat here, you get to groom it for a long time. Forced grooming is our dominance method in THIS house.

What, you think there are KINDER ways are getting Alpha?

Whoa, Marley, you mighty hunter, you! I am so impressed! And how awesome that you got to eat your prey. That was a well-earned treat!

We assure evryone, TBT not only allows us ta eat mousies, he encourages playin with them first. Sometimes he participates an tosses them.

We mean, he LIKES watchin us eat mousies. There is a certain catlike aspect about him. Not to go too far about a mere Bein, of course! He can Never go further than a Wannabe... Just that, fer a Bein, he appreciates certain habits of ours.
