UNhappy Sunday

We give up!  We been up 2 nights in a row tryin ta get our videos ta post.  TBT got some up last year, but he cant get anny up now.  He's tried EVRYTHING.  Blogger just keeps sayin "Sorry, there was an error".    You Tube says there was a failure due to file format.

We've changed all the file extentions an it still won't work.  Can annykitty help us?  The videos were done with a flip video camera and load as .MP4.  What do we need to do to post our neat videos?

I wish I could help but I don't use blogger. We always have a hard time posting videos anywhere. There are some smart ones out there and I hope they can help.

We haven't been able to post videos to Blogger for a couple of years or more and we were going to say that we do it from you tube by pasting it in code, but that's no help if you can't get them onto You Tube in the first place. Sorry we don't have any suggestions but we hope someone comes up with something.

We can post ours to You Tube. They are MVI files, that is all we know. Blogger doesn't like us when we try to post videos directly to them so we post to You Tube first. Then we uses the OLD embed code to post to blogger.

I'm not much good with computer stuff (and the peep is even worse... one might even say useless) so I can't be much help there. But, I'm sending lots of purrs your way to help you feel a little better 'cause I know you're probably really frustrated by this computer thingy. I know I would be.

We use a Flip camera. Sometimes we have a problem posting our video link in blogger using Internet Explorer so we have to go to another browser.

we usually do some editing to our Flip clips so we export the video from the Flip program to our computer (we don't use the share link in the Flip program). The clip exports as an .avi file and when we make a movie it is created as a .wmv file. We don't have any problems uploading these to You Tube.

Maybe there is an issue with the file type if you are trying to go from the Flip software directly to You Tube?

We're not sure if any of this will help but we hope we can get to see your movies! Purrs,

Hi Guys,
My Mommy only knows the software she uses for creating online training, and to get it in a file format that she can use in YouTube, she has to run it through a filter, which is why it had the dorky player panel showing. For someone so smart about computers, she is pretty dumb about that!

When we got a new computer with Windows 7, we were able to use Windows Movie Maker with the HD flip camera.

We don't use blogger, but if it makes you feel any better, we have problems posting videos with wordpress too.

My human always does a bit of editing in iMovie before uploading a video to YouTube, no matter what format it starts off in, and it's pretty easy to upload from iMovie to YouTube. As for Blogger, my blog isn't on it, so I can't help you there.

Sorry, the mom hasn't tried videos yet. She's just happy she can edit photos now. Yup, she's in the stone age.
