Thankful Thursday

Well, we finally went out this afternoon ta see what the yard looked like after the Sandy Hurry Cane.  It dint look bad.
One kinna largish branch was down way in back, but that tree is dying back and sometimes drops branches annyway.
Another branch came down on the hosta bed, but it wasnt TOO big and missed the hostas annyway.
But it still was pretty wet out, so we stayed on the deck.
And came back in soon fer some treats...
So we are thankful fer ourselfs and those who dint have damage.  And we are thankful fer our furiends who got hit harder but will be OK soon.  Our purrs go out to those in worse shape...

We're so glad you're all safe! Sandy was supposed to hit us here in Ontario too, but seemed to have missed our particular region, other than high winds (nothing unprecedented). We were lucky! Other areas in the province, and of course the eastern US are not so fortunate at all. We imagine it will take months and years to recover. :-(

WE had high high winds and driving rain. But the Smokey Mountains got 33 + feet of snow.

We didn't see too many downed branches and no downed trees. We think the derecho cleaned them all out this past summer.

The Girl says PA was hit really hard, most places still don't have power & there are a lot of downed trees.

We are relieved your kingdom was okay when you went out to survey it. And you are very brave to do so! Make sure all reparations are supervised properly! And give TBT a great big hug will you: he deserves it after going through all that and Grandpa's taxes.

You kitties definitely have lots to be thankful for in Sandy's wake - she wasn't too hard on you. I am purring for everyone who wasn't so fortunate - it will take a long time for some of them to recover.

We're so glad Sandy didn't do too much damage to your home. You guys were smart not to want to muck around in the wet leaves! And treats sound like a great idea. :)
