The Big Thing: Ayla often sits in front of the TV and watches some of the things moving.  She particularly likes batting at golf balls in flight, but I don't watch much golf since Dad moved out.  So she mostly watches critters on nature shows now.

I was watching a DVD on prehistoric mammals, and got a good picture of her batting at the young one of this pair.  I remember these creatures from childhood as Baluchitherium, but the name is now different (or maybe it was a close cousin), and I don't recall the name from the show.  I wonder what she would think if she realized that even that young one weighed several tons in reality?
I was surprised to get a good picture.  Usually, the autoflash goes off and shows a bright reflection or the picture is blurry (maybe DVDs photograph better than cable signals).

Iza seldom pays any attention to the TV pictures, and Marley never does.  Interestingly, none of the Mews have ever paid any attention to themselves or the others in the mirror.

Chumley would be fascinated by the TV when I'd watch a nature documentary, but Annie never noticed the TV. Nicki did notice it somewhat when he was first adopted, so 6 months of age, but not as he got older. And Derry's never been intrigued by anything on the television. BTW, neither of the boys notices their reflection in mirrors either. :-)

Oh, that reminds me that when I was growing up, our dog Mandy, when young, would bark at the slides of herself, shown on the big screen Dad had. It was so cute! (And that dates me, old enough to have grown up with 35mm slides. LOL.)

It has only been sporadically that the kitties showed any interest in what was on TV, but it so amusing when they do. Ayla is so cute up there batting at those dinosaurs!

Boodie is the only one here who is big on TV watching! As for mirrors - there is a kitty living inside of mine and I hate her! She is some skinny, conceited thing and very annoying.

That's cute, Ayla. Get those dinos!

Every once in a while, Pierre or Newton notices the television and has to hop up to take a closer look at the action. Ashton pays it no mind. But mirrors... when Pierre was a kitten, he was first afraid of the cat in the mirror, then later would puff up and hiss at the introoder cat. He was probably six months old before he learned not to pay any attention to the cat in the mirror every time he walked past.

It's fun to watch the kitties watch tv. The best part is when they go behind the tv looking for whatever is in there!

How amazing she does this regularly! CC occasionally gets interested in basketball, but not often.

Herman used to watch TV with me all the time. This bunch aren't interested in the TV, but occasionally Oja tries to catch the cards being dealt when I play solitaire on the computer.

The gophers have been taken care of. The whole block got together and called in the exterminator. Hopefully, I will get up the energy to plant some flowers next year.

I use my mighty hunting skills on birds on the screen. I have caught several eagles. The others do not emulate me, but Jura can really get involved in a game of soccer. But wildlife shows -I LOVE them!

Interesting, isn't it - makes you wonder about their vision/eyesight.

Alice is the first cat I have ever had that likes to watch TV. Her favorite is Nascar. When she wears herself out "helping the drivers", she picks a spot on the couch where she can watch until she dozes of - much like me.

My cat Snowball tried to get the turtle on a nature show once. She swatted at the screen a few times, then ran around back to see how to get in the box the Turtle was obviously hiding in. This was back in the old days when you had huge TV's that sat on the floor. ~Alasandra

Our cats can't reach the tv, but Leo watches it every couple of days. Star only watches animals, and then she prefers baby bears.. so I always watch that nature show when it's repeated on pbs, just for her.

None of us have shown any interest in the TV but Tutu does sometimes bat at the cursor on the computer monitor.
