My Mousies!

MARLEY:  They're, they're GONE!  My beloved mousies.  TBT told me there would be some changes, but I dint realize how MUCH change!

Here is what my best mousie-hunting area looked like a few days ago...
And here is what it looks like NOW!  Do YOU see anny place where a mousie would stay?  Well, *I* sure dont either.
I am CRUSHED...  Iza is none too happy either, but she isnt as dedicated to hunting mousies like I am.

After moping around all day, I decided ta look around fer another promising site.  I sat at one spot fer a while, listening fer anny mousie-sounds.  Nothing!  Well, OK, it was the hot afternoon and there probly wouldnt be anny out annyway.  And they might still be cowering in their holes from all the earth-thumping noise on Tuesday.
But this area has lots of poky brambles an no bird-feeder ta attract them.  Worse, it is further away from the house than it looks.
Much further!
TBT says he WILL be planting stuff there besides grass, so there will be shrubs fer shade and hiding.  An the birdfeeder WILL go back up soon, but it will probly be some time before the mousies find their way back.

But how could he DO this ta me?

PeeEss: TBT has a post at his own blog with lots of pictures HERE!

Oh no, not all your mousies! I bet they have all moved to the side where you were looking. Give them a couple of days and they will be out and about again just waiting for you.

Holy cats! Your mousies! Hopefully they'll come back once the dust settles out there.

On the other paw....it DOES look like a giant litterbox! MOL!
We can't wait to see what TBT has planned for this area.

Dang, you need to offer space for a mouse convention and attract a crowd!

I am sure TBT is going to do something with that area that will be even more amazing - and maybe the mice will come back with their families!

Yowza! That is a whole lot of changes, from messy green to nothing. Hope you get stuff that will bring the mousies back.

Oh Marley, we feel your pain. But TBT has done this at the right time of year and we are sure next spring there will be shrubs and mousie hides for you.

In the meantime, chase the gals!

The nerve! How dare TBT re-grade the lawn in the interest of improved landscaping! Total lack of consideration for your pursuit of rodents. I mean, aside from the fact that the mice will probably come right back...

Oh Marley - how disappointing. I agree with Brian - you need to take the initiative, do some promotion and marketing and get those mousies back where they belong. Good luck,

The nerve...it will take a long time for new plantings to draw the mousies back. I'd demand a bird feeder promptly.

As soon as he uses the rototiller on that bare area, make it a litter box just to show him!

We're crossed. And afraid. We can't use the upper floor right now because the humans are doing some major construction work. Mom said that we'll love the upper floor once it's done, and it will be worth the inconvenience we've now.

Your pictures don't look too promising - how could we believe that humans know how to do construction work?????
