Mancat Monday

MARLEY:  WARNING!  Pictures have a little garden snake in them...

So, we told you first...

It was nice out again today, so TBT left the deck door open.  Look what *I* brought in!
It was all "belly-up", so I thought mebbe it was deaded.
I asked Ayla to check.  She said it dint smell warm, so mebbe it was.
But frogs arent warm and they hop away.  Same with little lizards.  I thought it was faking!
I couldnt get it ta move though.
C'mon, MOVE!
Well, TBT said it was probly alive and tossed it back out on the deck.  Sure enough, it started ta try an sneak away.  We all went right out after it and TBT closed the door.  He said we could play with it outside, but he wasnt takin any chances of it hiding somewhere in the house and dying cuz they smell awful after that.

But we had lots of fun on the deck, so that was OK.

EDIT!  We gotta add something funny.  TBT thought he had made labels fer all our cards (cuz we REALLY cant do that fancy stuff ourselfs).  But he had only printed half the pages of addresses on the labels somehow.  So HE is gonna be busy all the rest of the night an it means WE arent gonna get at the 'puter ta visit AGAIN!  Which is startin ta drive us crazy cuz we just KNOW we are missing out on fun stuff evry one ELSE is doin...

Its OK ta laff at him, we do all the time.  He just sighs and goes on with things...

Hopefully he catches up on his seasonal duties FER US tonight and we get back to normal tomorrow!

He finished...

Some snakes play dead around predators. I guess that tells you kitties what you're classified as ;-)

Maybe it was cold. Snakes don't move much if they are cold. At one time me and Eric were allowed out in the fields on our own until he started wandering to the neighbour's farm. Once I found a nest of baby vipers and I kept bringing them back for my mum. She didn't appreciate it as much as she should have. She was worried about mum and dad viper attacking me too because they are the only venomous snakes in the UK.

I feel bad for TBT, all the Christmas card sending is time consuming.
Smart idea to play with that snake outside.

My human loves garden snakes, so you guys are lucky - she would have taken it away, put it outside and let it ESCAPE!

Maybe that snake was playing possum and made you think he was dead so you guys would leave him alone. That was a pretty sneaky sanke. ;)

Thanks for the warning about the snake pics - it does help. I still read on. Mind you, I know that it was, technically, a snake, but where I come from, we breed 'em much bigger and meaner (and more poisonous) than that!

That looks like a pretty blue racer:)
Meowmy sort of enjoys watching snakes, but right, not in the den pawlease, MOL!

Cold snakes are furry 'torbid' until they wake up.

Meowmy spent hours trying to find a good template to make our card (an E-card.) Then she pent furevfur to put it together...Then she spent even more time almost pulling out her hair cause the picture she wanted to use would not fit into anything, ARRGGHHHHH.
So she gave up and started from scratch again...sigh...don't even dare to ask her when she might get the snail mail cards done, MOL!!
