Birdie-Feeders In The Snowy

MARLEY:  The birdies are LOVING TBT putting seeds out fer them.  And we LOVE having LOTS of them get through the Winter.  This one doesnt show the birdies cuz the instant TBT opens the door even slightly ta get a picture, they all fly away.  It's too close... So just trust us that they are there and happily gorging on seeds while the ground is all covered with snow.
This is the thistle seed feeder fer the finches (gold and purple).  No birdies there right then.
But they arrived soon.  We can only watch them from one windowsill.  But it is a GREAT watching!
Here are some closeups from the flashy-camera.  TBT discovered they dint notice our one window being raised up slightly and slowly.
They are all goldfinches.  They arent colorful much, but the bands on the backs identify them.  Plus, they are eating thistle seeds and not many birds do.
Those are FILLED PERCHES, arent they?
They sure LOVE those thistle seeds.  TBT found a place to buy 50 lbs fer $65, so we have a whole Winter's supply.
No, this picture isnt crooked.  The wind is blowing THAT hard.  How birdies fly in strong winds is beyond us.  Actally, how birdies fly AT ALL is beyond us.
More birdies...
And more...
Some hop on the ground.  That really drives us crazy.  We want to get them.  But not in 2' of snow...
Oh yeah, please survive the Winter birdies and plump up all good.  We will meet a few of you in Spring...  MOL!

You guys sure get lots of burds in your yard with all those nice feeders. If TBT didn't feed them, the burds would be super-hungry while it is so cold & the snow has covered up any food they might find during winter. Come spring, you will be hunting some plump tasty fevvers. Make sure TBT keeps fattening them up for you.

Your house is quite the popular dining spot for those birdies!

Good work TBT but I'm not so sure that he's deliberately fattening them up so you can snack on them come spring!

We love your bird TV - we're not allowed to get too close to the birds as we go outside.

Birdie TV sure is the best! We feed our outdoor critters, too, but usually end up with more squirrels than birds. Our squirrels are nice and plump. Purrs and warm wishes!

Those little birds must be very grateful to TBT for supplying their buffet. They will be nicely plump in the spring.

So nice the birdies have food for the winter. We hope they don't stuff themselves too much. They'll need quick take-offs come spring ;-)

You sure attract a lot of birds with those feeders when everything else is covered in snow.

That was nice of TBT to fill all the feeders. The birds get to eat and you guys get to watch! Win-win!

Mom wishes she could haul around and effectively use 50 # bags. The vishus deer eat all my birdies foods!

That is a lot of birdies- they sure can hold on during the wind. We don't feed thistle, we do sunflower hearts and suet so we don't get the finches. We get woodpeckers, cardinals and blue jays.

Good bird Tv. You look like you have some junco's too. The dark on top, light on the bottom colors. They go for the thistle seed too. Mum just got a 35 pound bag for $32. The forty pounds she bought last fall is almost gone!

They are probably so happy that TBT feeds them!

Those birdies sure are hungry! Good thing TBT is helping them out...

Niger/thistle seed is so expensive. sheesh. We sometimes see the finches eating the seeds on our dried up echinachea and black-eyed susan flowers. Waxwings go for the pods on the trumpet creepers, as well as the hawthorn berries.
While we don't put out seeds on account of dog-guy chasing the birds away, they do eat a lot of our plants all winter long, and we see lots of other birds foraging in the tree bark such as various woodpeckers, and others.

Birds are a lot of fun to watch and we chatter them all the time:))
