Snowyday Caturday

AYLA:  Well, April or not, Mother Nature DID play a Fool's on us!  We got SNOWWED this morning...

Ive never seen snow around our tulips.  TBT says HE hasnt either, and he goes back further than I do.
They do NOT look happy!
But it IS pretty...
The coreopsis dont seem thrilled about it either.  They bent over some from the weight.
The lilies stood tall though.  They're sturdier!
Its all melted already, but it sure was a surprise when we got up earlier today...

That was not a very nice surprise to wake up to! We had a hailstorm today that left the ground covered in 2 inches of hail stones. I was in the garden with my mum and dad when it started, and I ran indoors lickety split!

My goodness, that snow does look pretty around the flowers but they surely are saying Brrrrr Humbug!

Your poor tulips! Supposedly we are going to get snow tomorrow evening, if the forecast remains the same. We can't complain, though, we had a very mild winter this year.

The snow on the tulips made for stunning photos!
It was kind of a nasty trick for Mother Nature to play, though....

That will serve you guys right for playing that April Fool's joke on us. Ha! Will the flowers survive the snow? I hope so.

Mowzers, no kidding! It "snowed" last May 3, but it was only in the air, not on the ground (whewwww)

It was purty on the tulips though!

(and it was 27 here this AM - we're ready for the foolin' to STOP!)

Snow?! Someone needs to text Mother Nature that it's spring now so she can knock it off. But we agree, the tulips are quite pretty.

Nooooo - that's far too late for snow.

Early flowers tolerate a little cold. The snow is really pretty around the tulips :)

We had a surprise snow a while back. It was gone by afternoon...my favorite kind of snow!

The tulips in the snow actually look very pretty. I hope they didn't get damaged.

Welcome to my world guys. We have had snow several times so far this month. It melts fast, but still. The weather guesser is saying warmer this week.

Mommy said we have had snow as late as April 10th here. Poor flowers were so sad.
