Freaky Friday

AYLA:  TBT has been having camera problems lately.  It seems to get set on weerd settings he can't undo.  He even took the battery out for a day, but it seems to have  small one built-in that saves the settings.  Sometimes he gets video, sometimes, he gets strange effects, and sometimes he can't force it to take macro or flash pictures.

HE thinks it is the camera failing; WE think it is him.

But annyway, he took these pictures of me.  This one is normal of me watching the outdoor front yard (where we are not allowed to go)
This one seems to be slightly color-diminished.
Normal again, it seems.
Rainbow effect?  TBT couldn't even find that one in the manual.
 Faded...
Not quite black and white OR sepia.  Some odd blend...  Note the tan of the left side tree post.
Normal again...
Saturated...
True black and white...
Blue-filtered...
Undersaturated...
And he keeps trying out buttons on the camera to make it stop.  What he WANTS the camera to do is go back to normal somehow.  The next step is to smash it with a sledgehammer and buy a new camera.

And BTW, check out TBT's own blog because he is looking for advice about moving or not moving.

Maybe there is a ghost in TBT's camera!

We think taking a sledgehammer to the camera is a bit over the top!

That is weird. Is there a setting somewhere that you can reset to factory settings? Try googling unwanted effects and your camera and model, or something similar. I have been able to sort out a lot of problems with PCs, smartphones etc. that way.

Although I'm sure TBT is a big annoyed with that darn camera of his, I actually happened to really enjoy this artsy display of photos, Ayla. They sure were fun to look at!

You are beautiful no matter what setting or filter! But Mom agrees, just get a new camera.

Well, that hammer thing would sure help with the decision!

Our Mom sometimes has similar problems with her fancy, not-going-to-replace camera. Sometimes everything is sepia colored, other times, blue is the camera's chosen color. We think your black and white photo is beautiful, but we don't think you or your dad is capable of taking a bad photo.

We agree with what Flynn said. they don't make paper manuals any more - you have to look every thing up online. Just goggle the question and you'll come up with a tone of answers. Or go to the manufacturer's website. Hang in there, TBT! You'll figure it out!

Well, those are some cool effects, even if they weren't intended. We hope TBT can figure out why the camera is doing that.

I like all the different shades of your photo.Sorry I have no advice on cameras, I have zero skills in that area. Most of my photos stink and the cats have laser eyes.

Those are nifty effects!
Have a super weekend...

Some fun pics in this lot, Ayla - and, of course, all of them are beautiful.

We know that petcretary had some issues with her Canon, and somewhere there is a menu button...and on that list that comes up on the camera 'window' in the viewfinder, you can scroll to the one that lets you revert back to the default settings. Then you can start changing things to your preference.

But um...we think all those effects are actually pruuty neato!!

I would LOVE to know what in the world is going on there.
