Garden Tour Thursday On Friday

IZA:  Well, I knew it was coming.  The Final Tour of the year.  The colds have put all the pretty flowers and plants to sleep.  Some will return, some won't.

Bye bye marigolds...
Bye bye zinnias...
Bye bye giant marigolds...
Bye bye coleus...
Bye bye impatiens...
 Bye bye hydrangeas...
And bye bye tomatoes!
But it is a pretty nice day out, so will will have snacks on the deck where we can watch the birdies and skwerls around the feeders.  Lets see...  Ooh we have roast beast with warm gravy, some ham cubes, turkey broth with crushed NIP leafs, and some cream!  Inneresting choices.  Thank you Ayla and Marley!

And thank all of you for coming by to say goodbye to our flowers for the year...

We bet your flowers grew beautifully and now, it's time to sleep. Can't wait to see what comes up next year! Have a good weekend!

Hopefully your flowers will be back in the spring! We like the idea of watching birdies and squirrels from the deck!

When I gardened, this was the hardest time for me. I usually pulled my plants up before the first hard freeze.

Zinnias and marigolds are great at reseeding! You may not have to replant them :)

Yup, that's what our flowers look like too. They had been soldiering on until a week of heavy frosts finished them off. I took my mum for a short walk today though and we saw moon daisies still flowering in one of the fields.

We have never lived in an area where it got snow. Mom just wonders did TBT removed the dried plants or leave all till next Spring ?

The garden looks kind of sad as it prepares for winter. I'm glad the snacks are good, though!

We had to say our goodbye to most of the garden fare quite a while ago. We miss all the pretty peaceful feelings they give us. Petcretary brought some inside, but they came in with flies...so out they went again:(
Even though *we* were having fun with those flies, MOL!

Our Gallardia finally gave it up to the cold and snow...after a valiant attempt to keep summer here a little while longer. Now it is bowing its head in grief for all the sadness in bloggerville...the cold ht it just then, and now we are getting a dump of snow to cover up all the sorrows with fresh white blankets of prettiness once again.
Egads, petcretary is getting too mushy...bye! Off we run to see the next posting here...
