A Not So Easy Like Sunday Easy

MARLEY:  I started my Easy on the top platform of the old cat tree TBT built himself.  The new bought ones are great, but sometimes ya want a new spot (an the carpet is thicker here). n I expected a good long Easy.

Then Ayla hopped up an started ta settle down, but reminded me that she had been practicin the Easy on the new cat tree in the main room, and wanted ta do it there.  I said "fine, go do the Easy there".

That didnt thrill her.  She said Iza was out there and had kinna chased her away.  Oh cod, here we go again.  I try to stay out of these little hissy fights, but TBT keeps tellin me to help keep the peace...  Ayla was VERY agitated and kept walking around in circles on the middle platform.  Which started ta make me a little dizzy (she circles fast).

 

 

 OK Ayla, tell me about it an I'll see what I can do.


Ayla - "Well, I was doing the Easy on the next-to-top platform like yesserday, as I planned.  Then Iza came up the tree as graceful as a moose inna ceramics museum, ya know?  She stepped on me, and then kept pawin my tail from above.  When I told her ta stop, she said she would bite my ear and then eat my dinner tonight."

Marley:  It awkward.  I think Ayla culd stand up for herself better, but she does only weigh 7.5 pounds an Iza weighs almos 12.  So I said "For now, calm down, settle on the platform and nap in safety.  I'm right here.

Later, I will talk to Iza an tell her to leave you alone fer a few days.  She will do it when I remind her to.  But unnerstand that she probly dint even KNOW you were on the middle platform when she ran up to the top one.  And you DO have a very long enticing twitchy tail (which I of course never paw at).  But I will talk to her about this..."

Then I meowed her to sleep.

"Sleep little older sister, don't you fear.
I will always always always be near.
When you are worried, feeling so small,
I will be here in day and night standing tall."

She finally slept.  TBT came in with the camera, but I waved him off...  I told him not to disturb troubled sleep...  I napped after that, but keeping one ear open for Iza.

Tomorrow:  I will have a serious talk with Iza...

Caturday Saturday

AYLA: Sshhh, I'm practicin fer Easy Sunday today.  I havent been doin it in the main rooms lately so its gonna be a surprise.

It helps me feel secure when Marley is around.  Though he isnt perzactly nappin, he IS there...  He makes sure Iza doesnt bother me.

There is somethin about him that makes me feel safe...

Freaky Friday of a Past Day

Do you amember that LAST Friday we mentioned a birdicide but dint have a picture cuz the camera died?  We dint think the camera werked on the tired battery, but it got ONE picture of the birdicide! 

The birdie endeded its life oddly.  It smashed into the deck door but kept flying.  TBT was out there, so he saw it all.  The birdie flew up to the rain gutter after smashin into the glass door an we were all watching it.  To our delight, the wings may have been werkin, but the wings discovered the head wasnt.

It just fell down.  Naturally, we were right on it.  Dream come true.  While it does happen sometimes, it sure doesnt happen OFTEN!  Even Ayla ran out an she doesnt come out on the deck very much.

We had played with it a bit, but it wasnt playin back at all, so we stopped.  So it was a bit draggled.  Thats when Ayla ran out to take a look-see.  She had a fun time flippin it around, but the camera really WAS dead  so this is the only one we got.

Garden Tour Thursday

IZA:  Wow, we got surprized today with some new blooms!  I sure wasnt expectin them.  So lets go take a look...

We got Stokesia blooms.  There will be more next week, but I always enjoy seein the first ones.

Then we have the additional Wave Petunias.  I TOLD TBT we needed a couple more in the front an he FOUND some!  They will start spreading out inna Big Moon or so.

More lilies are bloomin too.  These look a bit odd cuz they flopped over an TBT hadda tie them up a bit.  But they should start bloomin more flowers again soon.  They HATE bein flopped over.  See all the new buds?

AND we have the first Butterfly Bush flowers?  This one was real early and the rest are barely showing at all.  It will be better inna month but it is sure nice ta see one now.  The butterflies like it SO MUCH!

Now lets get some snacks!  Marley has set us up in the shade, which us good cuz its kinna hot in the sunny areas.    Ayla says we have Niptinis, 2 kinds of crunchy treats (Salmon and Chick-hen), an bits of PIG what TBT thawed out fer his dinner.  We hope he isnt hungry today, cuz I think we are gonna eat it all.  Dont worry, he has lots of other stuff ta eat.
