Iza decided there was no point in stayin out on the deck, so she went in.
*I* decided I was gonna wander around come "heck or
Wow! I can walk on the TOP of this snow. No sinkin in up to my tummy!
I looked around. Nothing really innerestin came ta mind.
There were no holes in the snow, so it seems like there wont be any mousies. TBT says they tunnel unner the snow, which is NOT FAIR! But he says that wild cats LISSEN fer mousies unner the snow, so I'll try that.
Hmmm, HOW do ya lissen through snow? I should watch those nature shows carefuler.
Oh well, I'll just wander around fer a while an see what happens.
Marley, I think the only mice you will be able to find are the ones that weren't bright enough to burrow!
ReplyDeleteI think all those mousies are tucked up in their mousie holes. They don't want cold toesies like you.
ReplyDeleteThose look like some seriously cold toesies, Marley. You're a dedicated mouse-hunter to walk around on that stuff.
ReplyDeleteWe don't like that cold white stuff!
ReplyDeleteNice to get out for a breath of fresh air isn't it. I was out yesterday, it was almost 40 degrees to take a sniff. Another storm on the way developing overnight. Blizzard conditions mean hunkering down inside by the fireplace.
ReplyDeleteOur snow is over 6 feet deep at the end of the driveway...dad can't throw it any higher!
good luck finding some shmousies, Marley! gosh, our paws are getting cold just looking at your pictures!

Wow, you're really brave going out in the snow, Marley. Good thing you didn't sink.
ReplyDeleteWow, walking on the snow. AT least your tummeh didn't get snowy.
ReplyDeletedid you manage to catch the mousie? we hope you can catch one

You have more snow than we do! You have to stay still and listen very carefully for the mousies. It takes patience and the one secret ingredient - mousies! They have been very much lacking here. Keep us posted, and if the glacier goes golden can we have photos?
ReplyDeleteSilly Marley! It's cold out there and there's NOMS inside!
ReplyDeleteIZA-LAMBIE: Pleeeeeeeease come soooooooooon. My Tum is waiting JUST for you! Your Spittikins XOXOXO (see? 3X, 3O)
Marley that looks way too cold! I hope your toes got warmed up good inside!
ReplyDeleteIt was very adventurous of you to head out onto the snow, Marley. Good to see that you're up for new experiences.
ReplyDeleteBut, when you get back inside, ask TBT to check out the TV Guide for nature shows and pay attention next time: no napping!

We watched a video on how foxes hunted for mice who burrowed under the snow. Maybe you could ask TBT to play that video for you so you could pick up some tips. :)
ReplyDeleteMarley that is quite a bit of snow! I bet you had fun sniffing around!
ReplyDeleteThat looks cold enough to make your whiskers shiver Marley!
