But when we say "new camera", its actually a new one of TBTs previous cameras. Apparently, after looking around, he decided that the camera he had before this last one (that was failing because it showed shadows all around the edges) was purrfectly fine with him.
So he found one. Noy "used" not "refurbished", but "new" as in "in the original packaging and box, never opened, never used". TBT wrote a bit more detail about the purchase over on his own blog (where we seldom bother to go) HERE. IF you are innerested in details...
So he is happy. And here are 2 of the 1st pictures he took with it. We chose them because it is Easy Like Sunday and we try to show pictures with all 3 of us for Sunday.
I am glad TBT has got a camera he is happy with. My mum needs to get a new one because hers has dirt spots in it. She read online that Panasonic are prone to it. When the zoom goes in and out it can suck tiny bits of dust in which look much bigger in photos. It said to extend the zoom and carefully vacuum it over the lens. It got rid of some of the spots but there are still enough to drive her nuts. She has to use the windows blemish tool to get rid of them.

I'd love to be invited to that party with the three of you! I was looking for another camera too ... I thought the flash was broken. You are right about Consumer Reports ... all the point and shoot cameras were ridiculously expensive. I looked up a couple things online and managed to fix the camera (for now anyway).

ReplyDeleteGlad that your TBT is all happy again with a well functioning camera. Sometimes petretary looks at the box where here other older camera is, and wonders if she should resurrect it too, her newer one works well, but its kind of bulky. The little older one fits in her pocket and would be good to keep about for quick spur of the moment shots, like when she goes outside, etc. (Its a Canon PS720 )
