AYLA:  When Iza and Marley get too rembunk, rampbunc, active, I am thankful for my high places where I can watch safely and carefully.

Werdy Wensday

TBT is really casual about a lot of stuff.  The 2015 Cat Christmas cards were stacked  on a tiny table.   He kept meaning to put them in a box.

I solved that the other day.  I jumped up there.  They all came down.  I curled up on them.

Why?  Because I could still sniff my friends on them.  

I spread them out well and napped with happy thoughts of friends...

TBT put them all in a shoebox (where they fit exactly purrfectly BTW).  And he left the box on the floor fer me!

Girlcat Tuesday

IZA:  I was just as tired as Marley yesserday.  Ya may have noticed I was right next ta him on TBTs lap.

 Well, here is MY side in the pictures.

 The difference is that *I* was actually napping.   Why waste a good warm lap just laying there?

BTW, Ayla was doing the same thing on the cat tree, but TBT couldnt get up ta take a picture...

Mancat Monday

MARLEY:  First, we all want to thank everykitty and Bein who visited or wished us well for our 3,500th post celebration..

Second, we are all worn out, so we are resting today.  That was 3 major parties in 6 weeks! 

 I am still a bit too worked up ta nap easily, but it is good ta just lay on TBTs lap nice and comfy...

3,500th Post Party

Really, come one, come all.  We want to celebrate this.  We mean, it takes about a year and a half of daily posts to get a 500 so the 4000th is about February 2018 if we keep it up.  And who wants ta wait that long for that fer another round sort of number?

Aside from the usual entertainment of toy mousies,  rolley balls, and wands of magic, The Big Thing will walk among us juggling golf balls in the air, bouncing them off the cement basement floor in a juggling manner to the tunes of our favorite cat food commercials, and even OFF THE WALLS, while also tossing tasty kibbles and treats around for everycat to catch between juggling changes AND while wearing his Hobbit feet slippers and (this is still under negotiation) his craziest clothes later in the afternoon.  We tried ta convince him ta hold a sparkler between his teeth, but he wouldn't go fer THAT.  He said we were pushing it...  Can't win them all.

Still it will be a sight not to be missed.  The party will last all day, so don't be elsewhere.  Kitties who are not here THIS day will feel deprived their whole lives.

There will be Fresh Nip, Niptinis, Nip Smoothies, and Nip Cream.  There will be foods.  

Come early, come often, but DONT not come.  We wont have a 3,500th again...

UPDATE:  Well, apparently juggling is NOT like riding a bicycle.  Beins DO forget.  He blames "flawed golf balls", but WE can tell he has lost the art.

The balls were just all over the house.  Which was good fer chasing, but he can't juggle them without a week of practice.  Granted, he was getting much better real fast, but not in time fer the photos...Well, ya snooze, ya lose... 

He DID manage the crazy clothes and the hat trick, and we all got a laff from THAT!

 That hat trick IS pretty good though...

We gotta feel sorry fer him though.  Those feets will never get better...

 

Caturday Saturday

Remember when we announced a celebration earlier and had to apologize because The Big Thing couldnt count days?  Well it is happening tomorrow finally.  Dont miss it!

Freaky Friday

It took all of us THREE DAYS ta figure out what this was a picture of.  Sometimes the camera gets clicked when even TBT doesnt know.

Even he couldnt figure out what he was holding in this surprise picture fer a while.  What kinna board was he holding?

And he finally caught on.  Its the handle ta the deck door.

We arent used ta seeing the handle of the door that way!  And those vague tan lumps are Iza and Ayla waiting to come in. 

Shady Deck Thursday

AYLA:  I like sunlight  of course, but sometimes a shady deck is really nice.  I worry about the flowers though.  THEY really want sunlight.  I'm reminding them that the shade is temporary.  Sometimes they get kinna worried.

Its not like I can move them around to sunny spots.  But I *AM* looking for spots TBT might move them to.  The sunlight is over THERE.   They should learn ta move over on their own, ya know?

Tuesday Outside

AYLA:  I have to watch over TBTs plants ALL THE TIME.  Yeah, Iza shows them off, but I do some help too.

This one was enclosed in a wire mesh surround.  He pulled it off in Spring so he could pull the roots out and divide them.  But he didn't.  I am reminding him that he still needs to do that.

 When he looks at ME in the picture, he will see the plant.  I think there are at least 4 pots of plants in there.

And, BTW, you can see Marley and Iza in the picture.  I try ta position myself so they are included.  It takes some talent.  I'm good like that.

Easy Like Sunday

AYLA:  We all got up early.  Had First Breakfast, and went outside to greet the sun.

 What a fabulous way ta start a day!

The carpet is there because the deck gets hot in the afternoon and TBT put it down ta give us a cool run to the deck stairs (which are allus shaded).  But we dont need that in morning.

IZA:  I kind of slept in this morning.  TBT had helped me get up onto the shoe rack when he went to bed last night, and he doesnt do that all that often.  So I not only stay up there all night when he does, I try ta sleep late too!

 Its Aylas spot really and he keeps it for her cuz she feels safer up there.  But she had settled in a dresser drawer so he decided it was OK iffen I spent the night there. 

She stayed sleepin in the drawer, so it all worked out good.  And since TBT is going ta wash all our towels today, she may not even ever know...

We discovered we were being watched.  Watched sort of in the way we watch birdies and skwerls - to learn more about them ta catch them.

What was watching us?  Thats below, iffen yer sure ya wanna look.  But it just sat there fer an hour studying us through the deck door.

Garden Tour Thursday

Well, Ayla and I are going in to prepare the snacks, and to let Iza out ta do the tour!  We DO cooperate about this stuff...

Um, we DO need TBT ta open the door though.

IZA:  Well, finally!  Its been a few weeks hasn't it?   The big pot near the watererer hose is doing good.  The Marigolds are falling all over the sides, so they seem happy.  TBT waters them every couple days.  Quite frankly, when HE waters, WE all run inside.  Its safely dry there...

But afterwards, *I* come out.  Look at the  nice Yellow Zinnia pot...

The Neat Threesome.  Caladiums with  Yellow Marigolds and the 2 littler pots with Orange Zinnias...

The multicolor pot in Pinwheel Zinnias.  There are 5 colors in there and only 4 plants!  I think, mebbe, possibly.

 This one isnt doing so well.  Nice Orange marigolds, but not many of them.

The tomato surprise pot has been a real surprize.  Nice orange Zinnias an a Red Salvia in the middle, but no tomatoes...  First time THAT hasnt werked I can remember...

And down below, ya can see part of the flower circle .  They were the leftovers an so got planted late.  They ARE getting their flowers blooming, but iffen they had got planted earlier, they would be WAY bigger. 

Well, as I tell TBT, he can't plant everything at once.  I'm bein kind.  He SHOULD plant everything at once.  He just didnt know they were going there this year.  And they wont next year cuz the lilies are gonna take over.

I've kept ya all up on the deck fer a reason.  IM HUNGRY and this is where the food comes.

Oh Bast, Ayla and Marley are bringin it out now.  We have bacon.  Soft on the left, crunchy on the right.  We have pork shoulder.  We have SHRIMPS O M C, and Niptinis and Meowgaritas...
OH Bast, Marley even brought a skink...

Not a typical meal inside.  Lets get at it...

Mancat Monday

MARLEY:  I was outside earlier, so this is a good time fer grooming.  I dont know about you, but I like ta start by nibbling through my furs.  I get sticky-seeds and tree dust in my furs a lot and that gets them out.

Then I go with the l-o-n-g tongue-strokes ta get it all smoothed back down an in the right direction.

Of course it helps ta be sitting on yer Bein, so ya can go straight into a nap after...

Saturday Caturday

MARLEY:  RTS!  When ya have it, ya know it.  An the Beins do to.  There is no hiding it.  Restless Tail Syndrome just wont be denied!

Yer on the Beins lap, all comfy...

Then the tail starts movin.  All on its own...

A slight movement at first...

Back and forth gently...

 Just a little twitch.

And then it starts...

 The tense...

Then the whip builds up.  Ya can't help it...

Ya WANT ta control it.

 But the tail-brain takes over...

 And WHAM, there it goes...

 Curling...

 Straightening...

Curling all around...  I mean, it even hits ME in the face!

And ya LOOK at it saying "*I* didnt ask ya ta do that"!

Cuz the tail has a brain part of its own down there.   Its the same thing that causes "elevator butt" I guess.  Probly "Wiggle-Butt" too where ya are ready ta pounce a mousie and yer tail alerts it that ya are there, ya KNOW?

Well, mebbe it a good thing ta have 2 brains...  I mean, sometimes my head one isnt all that smart.
