IZA: This is a hawk. A big hawk. It was closer when TBT grabbed the camera, but it moved every 15 seconds. He was lucky to get that.
He admires raptors. ELSEWHERE! Not in our back yard...
We do not like hawks. Marley and I are rather too large to be threatened, but Ayla is smaller and likes to sit on the deck rails. He is thinking evil thoughts toward the hawk.
There may be netting set up around the deck in the near future...
And a note to Ducky: We can't get your blog to fully load...
Momma says dere are a LOT of hawks round here - some have even carried off dogs in da nayborhood.
ReplyDeleteWe have occasional hawks around here - a young one even got into our enclosed patio once before I came to live here! But usually they aren't very close.
ReplyDeleteWe don't like hawks either. When Spooky was at the end of his life, my hubby was taking him outside for walks ( before us, he was always out), there was a hawk that kept checking him out.
ReplyDeleteThat's a pretty hawk! Not as gorgeous as you kitties ... but another of God's creatures too.
ReplyDeleteYeah, we see hawks around our yard too. That is one reason mum doesn't let me go outside.
ReplyDeleteWe have hawks here too...and when one appears the feeders stay devoid of burdies for a long time. The most common one we see is Red Tailed Hawk, though there are others.
ReplyDeleteHaving a hawk around your yard would be quite scary.
ReplyDeleteLooks like TBT may have to keep his eyes on you 3 when you are outside or go with the netting!
