MARLEY: These are actually from a week ago, but I am just catching up...
TBT had this entire area covered with black plastic sheeting all Summer. To "kill the weeds and keep the bulbs dry" he said. Naturally, I had to check it out after he removed the sheeting. There might be mousie holes!
I was SHOCKED! Not a mousie hole in sight. Apparently, they didn't like the cover. It was really dry soil. Oh, DUH! Nothing under it for them ta EAT... I should have realized that.
Don't be too hard on yourself, Marley. You're always learning and that's good. If the mousies haven't been hiding under the plastic, they must be somewhere else - go get 'em!

I think the whole gardening thing is very mysterious!
ReplyDeleteSorry there were no mousies for you Marley.
ReplyDeleteWell, at least now you know how to keep the mousies out of the yard! Or wasn't that the point? ;)
ReplyDeleteHey, at least you checked it out Marley!
ReplyDeleteToo bad there were no mousies for you ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteNow you know where not to hunt anymore...but son those little rascals will populate that spot and you will be rewarded with mousie holes to sniff...and hunt!
ReplyDeleteThat was disappointing to not find any mousie holes. At least TBT knows they haven't been chewing on the bulbs.
