IZA: Our rule is "see towel, lay on it"! TBT folded up a towel to support a sore knee, and when he shifted position and set it aside, I was right up on it!
Who can resist a soft towel?
Marley had the towel on the back of the chair.
TBTs nose isn't really as weerd as it looks here... The camera adds an inch.
He likes to be there cuz he likes to lick TBTs hair. Marley is weerd.
*I* just want to nap in comfort when TBT is not allowing lap-napping (it does happen sometimes).
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ...
Sometimes I wake up and check around.
Gotta know where Ayla is... I even got up and looked around fer her.
When I got back, look what I found! Ayla on the new towel spot...
And refusing ta move.
But it was OK, TBT opened the deck door and we all went outside.

Freaky Friday
MARLEY: I must have napped all twisted around in the hut! One ear is bent over, the other ear is missing (I DID find it later), and one eye went all small...

Garden Tour Thursday
IZA: Welcome to our Garden Tour this week! We are transitioning from Spring to Summer here. Here are the last of the Tulips...
And the last of the Daffodils.
Proof that we are entering Summer... The male Goldfinches are all colored up to show off for the females.
Meanwhile, the veggie garden has gotten started. TBT plants small crops in square foot patches. It makes it hard for the insects to find their favorite plants. Plus, evry time he harvests a square foot patch, something new goes right in. No wasted spaces!
The Snow Peas have a little cage to climb up.
These radishes grow fast. These are the little round red ones.
Carrots are slower. They wont be much for a couple of months.
Tomato seedlings are looking nice.
We have these tree saplings sharing the garden this year. There are 2 Sourwoods and 3 Dogwoods. They are for spots in the backyard, but the spots are still covered with wild brambles TBT dint get around to clearing last Winter (and hasnt yet).
The first flowers in the new wildflower bed are blooming. They are small, but something had to bloom first I guess. We dont know the name of it, but there are about a dozen of them. Lots of other kinds are developing buds.
The Spring-Flowering Almond shrub looks nice. And it cascades over LCs memorial spot very nicely.
This is a Columbine. There are a dozen of them, but they are kind of scatterred around. TBT is going to move them to a shadier place this Fall and add another dozen he has in pots from seed.
This is just a weed in the lawn, but it looks pretty. We think it is a Buttercup.
Finally, here is our main Nip patch. Feel free ta chew on a few leafs. We have PLENTY!
Now lets all sit around in a nice shady spot on the soft grass and have some snacks! After all that walking around, we can use some. Lets see, we have... minced chickie breast with minced bacon, and some Meowgaritas (milk for kittens)!
Thank you all so much for coming along on the Garden Tour today!

Womancat Wensday
AYLA: Seeing how it was Womancat Wensday and TBT wanted a picture of us together peacably for a change, I agreed ta eat some food near Iza where Marley usually eats (but he was outside so he dint know about it).
Food will distract Iza from about ANNYTHING! So she dint bother me. Im not sure she even knew I was there...
I'll have ta remember that!

Easy Like Sunday
MARLEY: This was a good morning. Iza and I had our favorite spots before TBT got up. Some days are good like that.
And here is one reason Iza is called "wide-body" around here.
She is WAY more sideways than tall. MOL!
Ayla is still nesting in the bedroom somewhere. She'll show up as soon as she hears a can opened.

Freaky Friday
AYLA: TBT brought home a lamb leg. That was pretty cool. We have never seen one.
The lamb bone is bigger than we thought. OK, we SUPPOSED Lambs were like rabbits.
I attacked it first and best.
But I couldn't even lift it to run away and hide with it. Lambs are apparently HUGE!
I gave it my best gnawings, and there WAS meat on the bone.
Gnaw, Gnaw, Gnaw...
I werked it over pretty good...
But it wasn't like a real meal.
I kept gnawing and licking at it though.
Gnaw, gnaw, gnaw...
I finally gave up though. Too much werk. TBT finally gave us a can of duck...

Garden Tour Thursday
MARLEY: Welcome to our First Garden Tour Of The Season! Im dfoing it today cuz Iza has been "hoggin the bloggin" lately... Im tiptoing through the tulips here, but let me join you up on the deck to start the tour.
Here is the view from the deck. You can see the Spring Bulb Bed really good from up here. Those are 2 kinds of Daffodils toward the back, Tulips around the front, and Hyacinths on the left. The Daffodils are fading now, the Hyacinths are gone and the Tulips are just starting.
Now lets see them up close. The Tulips are very pretty. There are 4 kinds and these are the earliest.
There are a few Daffodils still blooming nicely where it was shadiest and they started later than the others. This one has multiple flowers on a single stem. I dint know Daffodils did that.
This one has a pretty yellow and peach center.
I like this one a lot. It is very colorful.
This one is colorful too and the center is very big!
Now lets go back up on the deck and have some snacks. I hope the Sisfurs have come up with something special fer our first tour of the year.
Wow, Sardines! I dont think we have ever had those on the tour bedore. And lets see... Chickie broth and and fresh Nip leafs (first of the year)... And some chicken bits fer those who dont like fishies!
Thanks so much fer comin on our Garden Tour!
