IZA: When TBT isnt around, I like ta go sniffing around in the recycle bin. Sometimes there are cans with a bit of lickable stuff in them. But he has gotten really good at rinsing the cat food cans clean lately and I don't find any ta pull out and lick.
If you think that means Im hungry, you are right. I've been on a mild diet for a couple years. I was up to 11 pounds once and loved it but I'm at 10 now. I'm not thrilled about it. He got me down to 9.5 pounds, but relented. He weighs me evry few days ta make sure I dont got lower than 10.
If I get below 10 in the morning before 1st breakfast, he says "OK, we better plump you up a bit today. More exciting werds I never heard!
I dont get to choose how much to eat. And I HAVE been more active lately with the less weight on me. But I still would like to eat more, so I look around for foods...
He caught me checking out the pantry. Thats not where OUR food is kept (that is in a hallway closet where the door is allus kept closed). But I keep smelling stuff in the kitchen pantry. So I look...
Whats THIS stuff? Nuts, dried beans, cooking oil. He EATS that stuff? Why? Theres no meat in it...
Uh Oh, BUSTED! He caught me. I was so curious about what was in there, I dint realize he was right behind me.
I should know that if a door is open, there isnt annything I would want inside...
Bad luck Iza, although I think that if you'd been allowed to keep looking, you might eventually have found something worth eating.

We are ALL portion controlled here, and it is so frustrating! Well, except Binga - she is older and my human has to work to keep weight on her. So she can eat as much as she wants... but she really only eats the same amount of food the rest of us do.
ReplyDeleteIza, they NEVER have anything worth eating. You see that too.
ReplyDeleteYeah, no meat? Silly hoomins.
ReplyDeleteYep, the humans sure have strange things in the pantry!
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't hurt to check. You never know, there might be something more interesting in there one day.
ReplyDeleteThat shelf sure does look boring. But you just never know, so keep checking.
ReplyDeleteDuzn't look like much good there.
ReplyDeleteYeah, it's the same way here too, Iza.
ReplyDeleteHumans eat weird things. Iza, we think you look great.
ReplyDeleteYou sure look like a cat caught in the camera lights. But you don’t really look guilty. You just look like you are saying “why isn’t there anything for me in here?” MOL. Patzy
ReplyDeleteYou poor starved kitty.
ReplyDeleteDarling! You know what I got today?? A little dab of BUTTER. Oh, Iza-Lambie, It was nirvana. I wish you had been here--I would have shared. I think some butter in your diet would make your tum even MORE silky, as if that were possible! XOXOXOXO
ReplyDeleteYou would think that at some point he might mess up and put something yummy in that pantry...and you would be the first to discover it, MOL! Maybe a mouse might lurk in there...Yikes! Now that would be edible...
