I noticed that there was something pushable in the desk. It a rack where he keeps address labels, stamps, etc. But I could move it.
Now about that desk... Youve seen parts of it in lots of pictures, but TBT doesn't really know what ta call it. His Dad called it a "hutch", an his Mom called it a secretary desk. But TBT thinks a "secretary desk" is something that can be covered and locked (to keep "secrets").
What would YOUR Beins call this?
I'm not sure what kind of desk you'd call that, Iza. I think a secretary desk has a roll top. This is 'hutch like', so I guess I might call it a combo desk/hutch! LOL

Well, Äiti has a 'bureau' which is a roll top writing desk with drawers too and her mother had that (and gave it its name). The most important thing though, is that is is comfortable for felines. And your whatsit is far more comfy than ours.
ReplyDeleteI think my human would just call it a desk. No secretaries or anything.
ReplyDeletePetcretary thinks that is what is known as a writing table or desk. It is a charming piece!
ReplyDeleteI am happy you found it comfy and useful too, Iza!
We would probably go with desk.
ReplyDeleteIt is very cool.

A desk. But with a hutch.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I would call that a bed!
ReplyDeleteWe would say a desk, but we're not the best English speakers ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteOur Mom would call it astonishingly NEAT!

It’s kinda a secretary and it’s kinda a hutch. Maybe a secretary hutch???
ReplyDeleteNot a secreatary, they close up and can be locked.
ReplyDeleteAlmost cat proof? But we all know where there is a will...
ReplyDeleteSecretary desks or writing bureaus as we call them usually have a roll top or "flap" that comes down and forms a writing surface. I would just call it a desk, but Brian has the right idea calling it a bed.
