Well, TODAY in 2009, there was a mystery!

But, as they say, the criminal returned to the scene of the crime...

And realized she had given herself away!

Who could be upset faced with such a repentant look?

Turbotrack Thursday

IZA:  Marley was resting unner the recliner.

I went over to make sure he wasnt about ta pounce the track again.

 I've played with this thing before, but I ferget what its about.

So I went off to wait and see what Marley was doing with it.

Oh, bat the balls around, right!

I made a careful note about the proper approach...

And when he was done, I went over and copied him.  Track, ramp, ball, move ball over the ramp...

OK, that werks well enough.

Werdless Wensday

Naptime

IZA:  Youve heard of High Tea?  Well, today I had High Nap!  TBT came by and saw me sitting on the bed staring up at the towels on the shoe rack.  Ayla just sort of "floats" up there (often) and Marley can jump up there (ocassionally)  but I can't no matter how hard I try.

So he lifted me up and asked if I wanted ta step out onto the shelf and I said YES!

He HAS helped me up there a couple times before (I slept up there all night once), but it has been a while.  So I know I can get down easy.  You just hop off the shelf and you end up DOWN!  Fortunately, there is the nice soft waterbed ta land on...

Strokes

MARLEY:  There is a pattern to happiness.  It starts with a hand on the neck...

That slowly travels to my side...

And ends at my hip.  I have been known to actually pass out on TBTs lap when he does that JUST RIGHT.

My foot even wiggles a bit.

And I am gone until he has to move his legs...

He tries hard not to.  The TV helps.  Snacks help.  

I could stay here all night...

Easy Like Sunday

AYLA:  Marley was waiting fer TBT ta lean back in the chair so he could lick his hair, but got tired of waiting and left.

So I got up there.  I dont lick TBTs hair, but it IS a nice comfy place.

Sometimes when TBT wont let Iza sit on the arms of the chair  (he cant move his elbows ta eat), she sneaks behind him and curls up.  Which makes for a pretty tricksy picture ta take!

12th Blogoversary!

TBT here:  It feels like just yesterday...  12 years...

I think I will just offer pictures of the cats here who made it possible.  Skeeter and LC were here at the start.  And had to leave too soon.
 
And it has been Ayla, Iza, and Marley since.

AYLA:  It was August 2009.  LC was showing off her long tongue while grooming on the deck...

Iza was guarding the hallway...

And I had found a nice high place ta sit.

It was a typical day back then.

Chair Back Resting

MARLEY:   This REALLY has become my favrit spot lately.  It is just the right width, I love my furs against the green towel, and TBT is usually there at night.

And you might notice that Iza likes ta sit on the dishwasher door (did you see her in the first picture?).  For HER, that is "high"...

Plate-Licking Tuesday

AYLA:  Few things are better than a plate coated with chickie greases!  Well, other than a whole chicken thigh itself of course...  I sure am glad TBT LOVES chicken.

Lick, lick, lick, lick, lick, lick...

Then a quick stretch and time ta go nap!

BTW, Iza and I got some small actual chickie bits before this as usual (Marley just sniffs at them an walks away)...

Mancat Monday

MARLEY:  No, its not "the back of disrespect".  Im just layin on the shelf towel lookin out at the deck in the evening.  Sometimes a possum comes along, sometimes a small frog climbs the glass door.  A frog is better than nothing...  And there are always moths hittin the glass tryin ta get in at the lights.

Iza says I just frustrate myself watchin moths and frogs I cant get at, but I like watchin them.  Ya can get into a kinna dreamy-world just starin...

Easy Like Sunday

AYLA:  So TBT was eating his dinner (smoked pork stew, yellow italian flat beans, tossed salad, wine)...

We typically sit all around him when he is eating.  Marley was on the back of the chair.

I was sitting up on the desk.

Iza was on the arm of the chair.

A nice typical mealtime...

Flashback Friday

AYLA:  Today we go all the way back to August 2009.  Old LC was still with us then, and we all ate together.

I prefer to have my meals separately these days.  In fact even Marley has been requesting to eat just outside the kitchen sometimes lately.  You can go a bit hungry iffen Iza is too close to yer bowl...

MARLEY:  Its Noon, I'm up and about, so lets PAWTY!

I'm 8!

MARLEY:  Wow, Im 8 years old today.  I can hardly belief it has been that many years.

But I'm tired and think it is too early ta start a party at midnight.  I'm gonna have a good night sleep and we'll start a party in the afternoon.
