Mancat Monday

MARLEY:  I was sitting at the deck door last evening and watchin it get dark outside.  I sure wish I was out there.  Dad says its not safe out there at night.  But it is SO inneresting out there in the dark.  I can catch mousies better.

But the only way I can stay out at night is iffen I don't come inside when he calls me at sunset.  I stayed out twice this moon.  He got pretty upset, so I suppose I shouldn't.

He's getting trickey though.  He calls me before sunset for "Dinnertime" and I always LOVE to hear that.  I pay more attention to "Dinnertime" than I do my own name.

So here I am sitting at the deck door as it gets dark after dinner...

I wish I was out there.  But as Dad says, "there are owls"...  So, I guess it is better to eat a few thousand more meals and nap on his lap than catch a few more mousies.

Aw, so sorry for you Marley. But you're right better to stay inside and miss those mousies so the owls miss you.

Yup, safe inside and in all tbhe comforts your TBT/Dad provides is way better than becoming owl food or a fox snack.

In this case, I think TBT may be right.

No Marley, it is not safe out on your own when it is dark.
Eric and Flynn loved it if I took them for a walk at dusk. By the time we were ready to go back, often I could only see the white on them.

I'm sure that TBT doesn't get much sleep when you choose to stay out all night, Marley.

We agree with TBT, it IS safer indoors when it is dark.
Besides, that's where the snacks are ;)

Marley, TBT is right...there’s some scary stuff out there at night. Catching mousies is not worth being out there.

Better stay indoors, Marley, those owls are too big for you. Purrs

We are in a spot with few creatures which is nice but there is less to look at. We are waiting for our new Cat Fence so we can go out. How about a Catio with a net roof on it? Dad was thinking of that with 7 foot poles and fencing and net over top. If not too big the leaves are not a problem
