Flashback Friday

Today's flashback is from this day in 2009.  When I installed additional cabinets in the kitchen, there was a floor vent and I had to cut out an opening.  Every new cat has spent time in there, using it as a "hidey-hole".  So did Iza, though she could barely squeeze in and out.

How a Sweet Gum tree seed ball got in there, I will never know.  But it was her first toy of her own.
Later, she found The Cube.  She obviously didn't understand the purpose of it at first.   She went under...
Looked inside...
Ran through it...
Looked for stuff inside it...
Sniffed around...
Turned it upside down and around...
Tried to nap UNDER it...
Tried a few under times again...
And FINALLY caught on that it was a place to nap INSIDE and basically, a box with side-holes!

  1. Cute with incredibly soft fur - but shall we agree, not the brightest bulb in the chandelier?

    Sydney, Australia

  2. Awww, a new home needs to be fully explored and the possibilities for extending checked out, MOL

  3. It always surprises mum how cats can fit into tiny places.
We say we have liquid bones. MOL!!
Good to see that Isa knew how to amuse herself :)

  4. That was a cute flashback of Iza and her cube. My Rosie walks around like a turtle with the cube as her shell.

  5. I dunno - it looks to me like Iza had lots of fun with the cube before deciding to use it as a napping spot!

  6. Iza looked so cute coming out from under the cabinet with her treasure. A lovely flashback of her enjoying the cube too.

  7. Our experience has been that a kitty cube is whatever the prevailing kitty wants it to be. Purrs.

  8. That was a really sweet flashback series!

  9. Those were beautiful memories.

  10. Thanks for sharing some of your now precious memories.
Iza knew how to make anyone giggle!

  11. Well at least she didn't decide to sit on top of it like certain cats around here did with another kitty inside.

We're always glad to hear from our friends...
