Today, we go WAY BACK to 2009 this week. It was a yard post. I had built a frame on one side of the front steps a few years before, and added one on the other side. I planted Caladiums since it was very shaded. THey were impressive.
Well, I had found an online place that offerred 100 bulbs for like $20... It was a risk going cheap, but it worked out great! The other bed was all hostas. They were great for several years until the local deer discovered them. I had to move most to the fenced in backyard. The deer don't jump the fence.
And of course there were The Mews eating together. A too-brief time with 3 womancats...
Pawsome flashback!
ReplyDeleteMum liked the Caladiums.
She likes cool foliage plants.
WE like the flashback picture of the cats too.

Good memories, hosta always a favorite, so missed them all the years of living in the south.
ReplyDeleteThose were good flashbacks, really!
ReplyDeleteThat is a nice flashback. XO
ReplyDeleteFoliage plants like those can for sure brighten up a shady dull area...I have to get rid of a bunch of bee balm that is in a too shady area, so it constantly gets 'powdery mildew'...
ReplyDeleteNice flashbacks!
Love that photo of the girls eating together!
ReplyDeleteThose caladiums look fabulous.

That is a lovely flashback of the three ladies and the plants. The caladiums look very similar to the coleus we have here.
ReplyDeleteWow, that was a cool flashback.
