"My name is Laz. Short fer Lapis Lazuli, but I only hear THAT when I'm up on the kitchen counters, ya know? So sometimes my name is "GetDown". Sometimes Ayla calls me "Lazasaurus". I don't unnerstand that. Sometimes Marley calls me "LittleBrofur" an I DO unnerstand THAT.
I've learned from Marley ta check the perimeters of the yard. The fence marks our territory. Marley showed me the territory ta watch. He says there used to be introoder cats that he chased away. I haven't seen anny. Mebbe it is cuz there are two mancats here now.
So I was out patrolling the borders, marking a few places, and generally making sure the house and yard were safe. Introoder cats? No. Doggies? No. Vishus Deer? No. Other riff-raff? No. Good, I could relax in the flowerbed...
It was a dark afternoon, but it seemed OK fer a while. The clouds threatened rain, but dint provide it at first. But then I was surprised by a brief shower.
Suddenly, the basement door opened. I went in. Patrolling is hungrifying work and I got crunchies. A good stiff shot of crunchies eases the day...
