TBT:
Laz and Lori are thankful for each other.
And I am thankful for how well they are thankful for each other. I'll never know which one started the attachment to the other, and I don't really care. That it is is the important thing.
I never fail to be thankful for Marley. I have never had a more peaceful and tolerant cat (Skeeter was really close). I think there is something "calm" in the male orange/white genes.
I am thankful for Ayla. She was an adorably small kitten. We had a hard 2 years while she went into heat for a week every 3-4 weeks after 2 botched spays by the breeder's vet, but that was finally corrected by mine. She has been a joy to my life for all the 13 years or so since then.
She is "Princess" by her elegant bearing, attitude, and royal behavior.
Ayla is 15 1/2 years old. She arrived when Skeeter and LC were here. She is here with the the newer ones. She is the bridge between the generations of The Mews. That "bridge" will leave us some day for The Bridge. But I am so thankful every day she remains here with us.
I am also thankful for all the cats who came before. Iza most recently, but Skeeter and LC and many others further in the past. But that is for another post some day.
This is a lovely thankful post. It is lovely how Laz and Lori have bonded. They are as close as litter mates, and closer than some.
