LORI: I am taking my Easy on The Lap.
One day by myself...
It was a good day ta be out. We allus explore the deck first. Ya know, make sure no critters or strangers were around in the night...
Nope, all smells clean...
Marley decided ta stay in, BTW. He likes the comfort more there these days.
We like to show that we can get along mostly. Dinnertime is good for that. Like, who isnt willing to get along when there is dinner?
And there is the excitement of changing bowls! Who knows what the others are getting?
TBT: Well, of course I know why. Taz and Binq always get the same flavor. They eat closest to each other and always check out the other's bowl. If they trade bowls, it doesn't matter.
Lori is slightly finicky. She mostly likes chicken, whitefish, and "grilled mix". And she usually likes to eat by herself, either facing into a corner just outside the kitchen or in the bedroom. And she is rather specific about that. It has to be on the bed, with the light on, and the door closed!
Marley gets only his kidney care Royal Canin, type T and D (he hates E, and won't touch the Hills kidney care food. One has more chicken liver and the other has more pig liver. He would rather have regular canned food, but has gotten used to the Royal Canin renal stuff. It is nutrient-dense and has added minerals to support kidney function.
But I have to stand over them. Taz, Binq, and Lori love the Royal Canin T and D and will nose in if they get the chance! And I want Marley to eat all that! He has his own pink bowl so that I can keep track.
So, some days, they all eat together. Some days, they eat a bit apart. I try to save the mutual eating pics for Easy Like Sunday. 😁
We were challenged by the Evil Puzzle Box again. Its OK, we understand it, but it does take some work to paw out the kibbles.
We don't have any good "all" pics, so here are some of each of us...
Lori sometimes eats at the dinner mat, but sometimes she wats a space to herself. A favorite spot is a corner just outside the kitchen. It is harder for the other Mews to get at her bowl that way.
Marley is happy in sunpuddles on the planter stand lower cushion, but he gets on The Lap whenever he can.
And boxes are always good.
Taz loves the top of the shoe rack. But this time it was the dresser and my birthday balloons. He couldn't quite figure out what they were.
It is Easy Sunday again, so we are eating together. TBT likes that. It seems more like Family Time.
TBT made us wait ta come in!
Well, OK, he was tryin ta get a picture of all of us, and figured the door was the best chance.
AND waited...
Taz even looked around fer her... But she wasnt ready ta come in.
Dinnertime again. Sure it is 6 a day and every day of the week, but TBT likes Sunday afternoon meals best for Easy...
Well, thats when he makes his fanciest meal of the week for himself and makes sure we get the "best stuff". We mean, there is "Fancy Feast Chicken" and then there is "real chicken" and we slightly do notice the difference. Chunkier, chewier, more flavor...
Easy Like Sunday posts usually means dinnertime because its the most likely time TBT can get all of us together in a picture...
TBT: Sometimes, I have to move bowls around. Lori will suddenly want to eat a bit more privately. Marley is pretty good about eating his kidney-care diet, but still likes the regular food better. Taz and Binq adore the kidney-care diet food and will nose-in on it.
I have to watch them all like a hawk! If I turn away for 5 seconds, they have all switched bowls. You may have noticed that the regular bowls are red, but Marley's is pink. That's the only way I can keep track of which bowl has his special food in it. LOL!
LORI: A little different today. Marley was here when I arrived. Taz and Binq came later from the Shelter. So I asked him why I was here.
He explained that Iza was a champagne Tonkie female and he loved her very much, but she had to cross The Bridge too soon. So he went searching for another like her. And found ME.
I get it. He likes orange/white males like Marley and Taz (and Skeeter before them). So he wanted somekitty like Iza.
Well, he sure has been surprised! Iza was fat and happy and loved belly rubs. Ate anything offerred. Did I mention "fat"?
I am the opposite. I'm skinny, fussy about food, and while I love The Lap I dont like belly-rubs!
I would think TBT would be disappointed in me. But he isn't. Ive seen old pictures of Iza. He treats me just the same as he did her. Love, Lap, bed, etc. I am so happy here (OK, I could manage without Taz and Binq).
But I'm not Iza and will never be. Yet he says he is happy with me. As I am, different from Iza but sort of similar but not what he expected.
Sometimes TBT just tosses a handful of kibble across the kitchen floor.
He always rattles the kibble jar, so that we all know ta come running in.
He doesn't really have to though. Usally, he cant even unscrew the jar without us all hearing it. But sometimes Marley is in deep sleep and doesn't hear that. So he rattles the jar. That wakes Marley up!
There is seldom a kibble left unfound!
But TBT gave up worrying about fur decades ago and just lives with it. Its everywhere no matter what he does. Mats, clothes, under furniture, on the stairs, etc.
We just thought it was a good day to show some pictures of all of us just sitting around...
Marley isnt big on boxes, but he liked this one.
We keep telling TBT to carry the camera tripod around to take better pictures but he says it is always "just out of reach".
It was Sunday Dinner Time. And we had crunchy kibbles. We dont get those often as a whole meal, usually just snacks in the egg or puzzle box.
Yeah, the egg is there, but TBT actally just scattered a whole big handful of them across the floor.
We had pretty much finished them by the time TBT took pictures.
BINQ: More fun with the egg...
