Garden Tour Thursday
IZA: Welcome to our garden tour this week! We can start with the Autumn Joy Sedum I think this is about as dark as it gets. Probly by next week they will have gone from brick red to brick brown!
The Nandina bushes are full of berries this year... I assume the birdies eat them, but Ive never seen it happen.
The Zinnias are still flowering. ..
But the cold nights are startin ta thin them out some.
The Impatiens are doin good. The patio and cinder block wall probly keep them a little warmer than the Zinnias.
The Hydrangea still have a few flowers in bloom. It will be time ta snip off the old dead ones soon though.
Well, lets have some snacks up on the deck. The sun is shinin on it in the afternoon now that a lot of the tree leafs are fallen, so its nicely warm. I wonder what Ayla chose today. Ooh, shredded poached chick-hen! Very nice. And with warm Nip Smoothies...
Thanks fer comin on our garden tour...

Taily Tuesday
MARLEY: I know, I know... This is SPOSED ta be Tummy Tuesday but I pretty much used up the Tummy shots Sunday. So today is the tale of a tail.
Well, does YOUR tail seem ta have a mind of its own? Mine does.
I was just nappin on TBTs lap, and my tail started tappin my neck. Annoyin, but it does that. I told it ta stop.
But it DINT!
So I started ta grab at it ta calm it down. IT FOUGHT ME! I hadda take drastic measures...
GOTCHA!!!
I was about ta put the Bitey on it, but TBT said that probly wasnt a good idea. OK, TBT usually gives me good advice.
I'll just hold on ta it fer a while until it stops moving...
Now back ta my nappin...

MARLEY: Happy Easy Sunday (with a side order of Tummy thrown in)! C'mon closer so I can give ya a Good Morning Hug.
Is it really time ta get up already. Im so comfy here right now.
I better think about this...
S-T-R-E-T-C-H . . .
OK, time ta get up (Im hungry).
A little grooming first...
Then down the 3 platform stairs an onto the floor an out the door.
First stop, Kitchen. Second stop, Deck!

Friday Flashback
AYLA: We dint do annything innerestin today, so we looked back at older posts on this date. We found this one with lots of pictures from 2007...
-----------------------------
SKEETER and LC: Its all drizzly and wet outside. The Big Thing is happy about that, but we aren't. LC sneaks out for a little bit, but she comes back in wet an icky. So, we took some pictures of things we like to do inside.

We sleep mostly. Sometimes together...

And sometimes alone.

We eat...

We wait by the door to get out (or at least to sniff out).

We sit aroun waiting for the rain to stop.

We play with toys (too hard to get a action picture).

Skeeter sits on The Big Thing for chin scritches until he (or both of them) falls asleep.

Garden Tour Thursday
IZA: First, I want to say how amused I was that so many Beins wanted ta kiss my toesies on Tuesday. Do you know where those toesies have been? I probaly walk on dead bugs alla time outside and then there is the litterbox... MOL!
But enough of THAT.
Lets go take a look around the yard. I warn you, some of it is sad...
The deck Caladiums are starting to suffer from the cool nights. Very soon, TBT will take them inside and try to save the bulbs. For next year.
The Impatiens are still doing OK. And we have to admit that we like them better than we thought we would. Pretty good flowers fer shade.
The Coleus are also stayin nice. But we think we want more colors next year. Would Coleus mixed with Impatiens look good? Mebbe mixed color Coleus would be better.
Some of the ferns are dyin back...
And the Hostas...
But there are a few ferns what seem ta stay green all year long. I like those.
An here is pawsatively the LAST butterfly bush flower of the year. The hummers are gone fer the year, but I really did see one butterfly flitting about yesserday. It better take off fer the south soon though.
The Autumn Joy Sedums are stayin red. I hope they last a while. They are usually the last ta go.
But there still are the Zinnias. I'm giving them an awardie fer their flowers bein open so long and resisting the coolth. We are thinking all RED next year. But TBT says it depends on what seeds we already have left over. Obviously, he's CHEAP. No sense of PURRFECTION.
An finally, we have one of our numerous Nip plants! Go ahead an Nom a leaf. Or roll on it. We got plenty.
Thanks fer coming along on the Garden Tour this week.
So... Lets sit on the lawn fer a while and see what Ayla an TBT have arranged fer snacks. Hmmm, Ham! Ham cubes, Ham juice with Nip, and some shredded cheeses! Looks good...
