Iza

It became clear this morning that Iza's vet appointment today was not going to be a wellness exam and med adjustment.  Iza has gone over The Bridge...

I will be selecting pictures for a Final Tribute to her.  There are so many to consider.  But one thing I am useless at is graphics.  If someone better at it than I has some time, I sure could use one of those lovely "Forever Beloved" pictures to include in her Tribute.

When I got home with Iza, it was time to feed The Mews.  Naturally, I took out 3 bowls.  And had to put 1 back.  That's when I just lost it...

Marley and Ayla have said their "goodbyes".  Marley sniffed at her nose a lot and seemed most distressed to detect no breath.  Ayla paced back and forth a couple of feet away.  I hope they at least understand that she has gone over The Bridge (rather than be "missing").

I would type more now, but trying to type while wearing glasses and crying is nearly impossible.

Farewell, Iza...

  5. Sharing your sadness, wrapped in a hug of love and memories. I am happy
Iza and Zoey had the opportunity to share one more birthday together ...
I'll write you privately about that special day.
I know that you, Marley and Ayla miss her very much, but you have
wonderful memories. It's funny (not funny odd, but funny touching), but
as I searched for a photo for her memory picture, it was so obvious how
many of them she was napping at your side, or on your shoulders ...
close to you, always. Remember her that way.
Hugs from Zoey ... from Ann and Dougie Dog, too.

  37. Mark

It's going to be hard for a long time while you grieve. I hope you take some comfort from knowing that you have a large circle of friends here who will support and encourage you, and who know that you will want to write about Iza now and next week and next month and in 7 months time and whenever another sweet memory crops up. We look forward to sharing your memories of her in future posts because we all understand how important she was to you - as our cats are and have been to us - and that it will help sometimes to 'talk' about her without having to be concerned that you're crazy for being so impacted by the death of a cat.

    Thinking of you.
